Just spotted, honest, the page below has got 10 pages of scooter babes, which to be honest is far more preferrable to looking at club members scoots, can I suggest we use one of the pure filth ones for our next advert for our do rather than some old bint from the fifties who's probably six foot under now. By the way who wouldn't do Kelly from This is England 86.

Martin, cheers for that, just had a quick look and already spotted Mr Kanes old rally and Bibby's "Torque of the Devil" in the 80's section. Some cracking photo's and brings back memories of all the shitholes we were made to camp on during the eighties, cracking times.
Mr Kane take note, this is what we should be aspiring to with regards the website and all the photo's you've been given. Get your finger out!!

Brakes arent to clever on my Lambretta as stopping isnt to fantastic.Thinking of putting a disc brake on obviously for better stopping power. Did notice the other day a bloke on a yellow Lambretta wearing some massive thick soled shoes thought what a great idea for better stopping power, just wandering are they a off the shelf accessory you can buy. Thanks for your help.

Daryll, could do with viewing the scoot and just have a look really to determine the problem rather than try and go threw a whole chapter of the manual. Put the scooter on it's stand then put a couple of block's under each of the stand feet and then grab a fork leg with each hand and try and push the forks up and down to check for movement,if it moves up and down you will have to tighten the locking washer's up a bit tighter located under the collar fastened by the allen key, hope this make's sense.

Hi Loz,you need to try and go on a rally and see all them big plastic scooter's that people are riding. Think they are made by Airfix. They call them GTS which i think stands for glue, tape and straws. They look ok,or better still make one from a old bucket and pram wheels.

Posted on Wednesday Aug 18 17:34:43 BST 2010
Hello Loz,loads of Lambretta Collectables available especially die cast. You need to find a good model shop or even surf the web for them. There are very early models made by Brittain which are rather expensive or cheaper models available like advertised in scootering mag but shop around as you can pick them up for about a fiver. Hope this helps.

Hi,
I have a question, does anybody know if theres any Lambretta diecast or simular collections that you can buy and if so where from. I am a huge Lambretta fan but cannot afford the actual bikes so thought this would be a good second choice! If there are not any then does anybody collect anything Lambretta that I could maybe look into purchasing?
Thanks!

Some good photo's on the Lancs Alliance website along with comments in the chat room. i find it with deep regret to inform the club that Mark Taylor who was one of the original founder member's of our scooter club has passed away whilst at the Isle of Man TT'S.Mark helped start the club with myself when all else seemed to be lost regarding scootering in Blackpool.Mark and his wife Laura and Daughter Sammy usesd to attend all the rallies and helped promote the scooter club. Mark had been a serving soldier from leaving school and served his time in some not so nice places but alway's had time to help with scooter club business even though he was miles away. Iam sure if you met or ever went on a rally with Mark you always felt a great comfort and warmth in his presence. My deepest condoloncies go out to his beloved wife Laura and his devoted daughter Sammy. There will be a big hole in a lot of people's lives in the passing on of the big fella.God bless and good night mate going to miss you.Martin .

Hi, Just to explain why I didnt manage to carry on with the ride out last Sunday.
My mirror fell off outside Mcdonalds Riversway Preston.I pulled over stopped the engine on my scoot, walked back to retrieve the mirror. I then went back, as I kicked the kickstart an allmighty crunch came from within my crankcase.
I highly reccomend Carole Nash Insurance as the recovery vehicle arrived wihtin 20 mins:
It appears that my scoot suffered from a broken kickstart shaft . On my travels this week I managed to get it fixed at Allstyles scooters Portsmouth. (carried the crankase half around in the boot of my car ) I aslo purchased a new set of clutch plates, can any body out there help me, I need to borrow a clutch compressor for the weekend as I might as well replace it whilst the side casing is off.
Many Thanks

Nice one Les, stil have visions of Rob on his stag do tied to a lampost with a hardhat and flashing amber beacon on his head out side the Hop Inn. Hard to believe it was so long ago. It was an honour to be able to provide escort along with other members of the club for Rob's final journey. Lyndon, fantastic effort with the Moderniser card and Paul for organising the St.Gerges wreath from the club. A fitting tribute for a mate and fellow scooterist. As we all know once a scooterist, always a scooterist.

The arrangements for Rob's funeral as it stands is as follows. The funeral is at Carlton Crematorium this Friday. St George's day at 3 pm. I believe a reception will follow at the Bloomfield club on Bloomfield Rd. I would like to ask the club members if we just send some flowers out of the club funds. I was thinking along the lines of letters spelling the word MODERNISER RIP. I will get a quote on Tuesday and hopefully be able to let the club know on Tuesday night.

THE SCUMBAGS PRIZED HIS GATES OF THE REAR OF HIS PROPERTY USING WHAT HE BELIEVES TO BE A CROWBAR TYPE INSTRUMENT. THE THIEVING SCUMBAGS THEN PUSHED IT AWAY IN THE REARLY HOURS OF THE MORNING AND DECIDED TO SMASH ALL THE COWLINGS TO GET TO THE ELECTRIC'S TO TRY AND START IT,HAVING NO JOY THE SCUMBAGS DECIDED TO DUMP THE SCOOTER. Three bands on two of whom are Atomic Blondie and The Visitors which are both excellent bands. Third band is a ska band so most tastes will be catered for. Do will be ticket only so in the next couple of weeks I need to get numbers together so Enty can reserve some tickets for us.

Update on ferry tickets for EuroLambretta. This was posted yesterday evening 7th on Scooterotica site -
Another update from Nic(LCGB)regarding ferry tickets
Just FYI. Quick update at 4.30pm:
Half the available ferry tickets for the 9th June sailing to Santander have gone already.
Have just spoken to Nutt Travel and they tell me that they have 40 tickets left for 4 people sharing a cabin (10 blocks of 4, in other words) and 15 tickets for 1 rider + pillion. Obviously they can mix-and-match some of this, so that if you were riding solo you could book with another solo rider in a double cabin....

I would like to say a big "THANKS" to all the members of the BLOC for their sterling efforts in putting on yet another superb "Blackpool Weekender" - sadly I could not attend on Saturday daytime due to preparing scoots for the Sunday rideout but it was pleasing to meet up with friends and customers on a social basis at the Saturday evening "do"!
The Sunday rideout was excellent despite the weather, Natasha and myself thought the organisation and marshalling was "second to none".
It was my pleasure to sponsor your trophies and I will do the same again next year without hesitation.
Once again, many thanks and ride safe.

Thanks!

Mr Livesey and Mr Lawder theres also a comment regarding someone after a Lammy and possibly joining the club. I'll leave you two to fight over him.
Some good photo's on the Lancs Alliance website along with comments in the chat room. Probably the best marshalling yet, well done to all concerned especially the lads who marshalled for the first time and got stuck in. Excellent advert for the club. If you take a look on our Guestbook page there's more compliments about the weekend from clubs who attended. Cracking weekend.

All, for those who haven't paid yet I need to collect money on Tuesday as I've ordered 19 tickets for the club. Cheers Ed
Sounds good to me for the prom do for Phil,s daughter could ride down to soul suite after.
Got clutch compressor from Paul, managed to put new clutch in but kickstart shaft is catching on the gears inside when the engine is running Could the shaft possibly need adjusting inside ?
Many Thanks

Another update from Nic(LCGB)regarding ferry tickets
Just FYI. Quick update at 4.30pm:
Half the available ferry tickets for the 9th June sailing to Santander have gone already.
Have just spoken to Nutt Travel and they tell me that they have 40 tickets left for 4 people sharing a cabin (10 blocks of 4, in other words) and 15 tickets for 1 rider + pillion. Obviously they can mix-and-match some of this, so that if you were riding solo you could book with another solo rider in a double cabin....
Hope everyones ok and missing the rideouts with you lot.
I hope to maybe come up to Blackpool in the near future. Is there a Christmas do organised ?
.....LOST! GREEN ARRMY.
Anyone know what happened to Mark on his SX. He was there at the start of the rideout but never saw him at the end
Was fantastic to meet up with you lads again after moving down to Cornwall two years ago.
Remember i,m in for next year at your hotel lads.
And Gaz Beckett if i ever decide to sell the GP, you,ve got first offer ha ha. Mind you can,t see me selling this one.

Remember me, its Dave, I had Dave Websters old DL200 Electronic racing scooter and a 150 Silver Special. I now live in Cornwall, near Newquay. I still own a Lambretta GP 200-TS1 225 Italian 1971 and have started to go on ride outs with a few lads from Newquay. Hope everythings ok and its great to see and recognise some old names from Blackpool.
Take care Paul, and if ever you,re in Cornwall call in for a brew.
Cheers, Dave
